For Those Who Prefer to Understand Reality.
Whattup! My goal here is to promote media literacy, and create an easy-to-browse page for my favorite digital information sources, and community-oriented content creators.
Since there is no such thing as "objective journalism", I do not look for it in my News. The news sources on this list reflect my personal interests, biases, and perspectives.
I am most interested in News that challenges us to think deeper and with clarity. News that empowers masses of regular people to identify and understand the forces which dictate their life experience. An honest, "truth-seeking" News will necessarily speak to/for those at the margins - those living precariously on the sharpest edges of OUR society.
I INTENTIONALLY DO NOT seek to have my worldview confirmed when I watch the news. I look for genuine voices, useful discourse, even disagreement and ideological conflict - from honest, transparent spaces.
I'll be regularly updating the links, and playlists at the bottom.

The Howard Center for Investigative Journalism recruited 31 journalism students from HBCUs around the country. They spent the summer of 2021 digging deep into archives and interviewing descendants, experts and historians to document the power of white-owned newspapers to harm the Black community.
"Some of the newspapers advertised upcoming lynchings, often printing the time, date and place where mobs would gather. Some white reporters watched, took notes and wrote riveting accounts of the barbarity of mobs, documenting the horror of the wounds inflicted, with blow-by-blow descriptions of the attacks, as though they were writing about a sporting event.
But those reporters often failed to practice good journalism, by undertaking the basic job of reporters — pursue and tell the truth."
